S.W.I.N.G.
Program
Skillful Women Inspiring New Golfers
Golf with your
Mentor/Mentee throughout the Season
Are you an
experienced golfer who knows how to get around the golf course
effectively, regardless of your golfing skill?
Do you have an
understanding of the basic rules (such as where to tee off, how to
mark a ball, etc.)?
Are you comfortable
with pace of play and etiquette on the golf course?
If so, you may be
part of helping a new golfer find the fun and enjoyment that golf and
EWGA has brought to you!
Become a MENTOR!
Interested in Having a Mentor?
The S.W.I.N.G.
mentoring program offers an opportunity for a new golfer to have a
“golfing buddy” to help make that transition from instruction to
golf. This program is open to all member golfers, provided that
you’ve been through a basic level of golf instruction. An EWGA mentor
will help you get around the course safely and answer questions about
etiquette, basic rules and the other nuances of the game in order to
build your confidence and comfort in the golf course setting. Though
the mentor is not there to help you with your golf swing, they may
help you feel more comfortable playing golf with others on the golf
course.
Let’s talk…
Sign Up Now!
It’s easy to make
golf play dates with your mentor/mentee at Kiley Ranch. Please email
Heidi Loeb at
education@nnvewga.org and let her know at least TWO DAYS in
advance of when you’d like to play at Kiley Ranch; the cost is only
$12/person/time that you play. Please let Heidi know the date(s) and
what time(s) you’d like to play and who you are playing with, as
several mentors have more than one mentee. Also include your best
contact number in case Heidi needs to contact you. Please mail in your
check for $12 for each time that you have arranged with your
mentor/mentee to play, to NNVEWGA, P.O. Box 70933, Reno, NV 89570.
Many of our Chapter’s members have expressed an interest in becoming a
Mentor or Mentee; if you are interested in becoming either a Mentor or
Mentee and have not signed up yet, please email Heidi at
education@nnvewga.org.
